Well I definitely need to start reviewing more of my makeup that I just kind of forgot about. This powder I bought a few months ago , I have used it on and off again, but just haven’t given it a nice review yet.
I was interested in using those for days that I just want to do some concealer and powder . I did use it over foundation but found that it does get cakey if you use too much. Also I’m not loving the way this opens and closes or the included puff.
I have this placed in its package still , as I’m afraid this will come out in my makeup bag and make a huge mess. The way the top just lifts off is a terrible design flaw in my opinion. Also that puff is rough , so I use one of my fluffy powder brushes. And while this is transulucent , it does add a bit of color to my makeup. Nothing too dark or bright , but I prefer to use this with some of my foundaton of concealer that’s a bit too light. So everything evens out.
As for the powder itself , it’s very soft easy to apply and stays on my face well . It does look it kind of dries my face down , I put it over a dewy foundation and there was no more dew. So probably a good summer setting powder , maybe not the best if you have really dry skin though as it does cling to your face . I still like the Revlon blot it setting powder a little better thought. Also this powder has clove in it , I didn’t notice any issues with my skin though, but keep that in mind if you have sensitive skin . It also have Eucalyptus oil and menthol .
I’m reusing my Girlcult review pictures as these are the most recent with this setting powder . I think I have other pictures but I don’t remember as I tend to rotate my setting powders and foundations . The above one is a mix of Anastasia Beverly Hills Magic Touch Concealer and Revlon color stay concealer , along with Maybelline Fit Me dewy+Smooth foundation in 210 sandy beige review plus I wanted to use a cream blush and highlighter. I think it came out alright , I was worried about the setting powder making my blush look muddy so I avoided powdering those areas .
My next picture is with the Beauty Blender Bounce Foundation and Beauty Blender Liquid Whip concealer .
I think my skin looked brighter here but maybe it was just my lighting . Overall I do like this powder but I don’t love it . I really dislike the packing and the puff , and it is kind of messy . But so far it hasn’t oxidized or gone orange on me which is good . I still like the Revlon one better though . I think sets on my face a little nicer and the shaker is less messy . Well let me know what you think and have a great week !

It looks good but as someone who prefers dewy makeup I don’t think it’s for me.

Yeah it’s a bit drying , but probably better for summer or humidity. And you know what dewy makeup really grew on me , at first I wasn’t sure I could wear it but I like it .

Yeah, I have kind of oily skin so I wasn’t sure about the whole dewy look but it’s grown on me too and I really like it now. We don’t have summer or really hot weather here so I find makeup that’s more matte looks really cake-y or separates.

Make sense. My area id both dry and hot but the the summers can get balmy during monsoon.

Yeah, it gets a bit dry during hotter seasons here too which can dry out your skin.
