colourpop winx club shadow stix in morphic shield review

Hey everyone ! It’s time for makeup ! and multichrome✨. I’m of course reviewing the Colourpop Winx shadow stix . This is actually my first shadow stick from Coloupop and even though I have a complicated relationship with Colourpop ( they’ve been hit or miss with me and their Jelly Much shadows dry way too fast.) I really liked this shadow stick. Also let’s talk about Winx club, I thought this was such an interesting collab, as i didn’t know Winx Club was that popular of a franchise . I remember being sick as a teen and watching a few episodes and sometimes seeing a few episodes in the morning.  Sadly I would miss episdodes so I would be lost when it came to really following the plot . Winx Club was a magical girl fantasy adventure cartoon by an Italian artist . I feel like it aired on either Nickelodeon , Fox kids and maybe Disney Jetix but I could be confusing the Disney airing with the other magical girl fantasy animated show W.I.T.C.H.  And I’ll be honest I don’t remember that much of the plot to either show except there was a plot in Winx, where there was a rivalry between witches and the fairy protanganists, and one witch that wanted to befriend the fairy characters was turned into a pumpkin by her witch school mates and I never got to folow up what happened to that girl. Like I’m sure was turned back later on in the series , but the show was like on ongoing animated drama , so you really had to catch all the episodes.

Now back to the makeup , I heard good things about these shadow sticks , saying that they were good dupes to Clionadh, Oden’s Oden’s eye and few other notable multichrome brands. I haven’t had a chance to try any of those, but have a few multichromes from Juvia’s Place , Girlcult and the new Wet n Wild Chameleon Chrome Collection.

I chose this shade Morphic Shield as it was supposed to have some blue/green and pink and gold shifts . Also it’s not a black based multichrome so it doesn’t stain your skin like some of my darker multichromes in Juvia’s Place or even the green shifting liner of Wet n Wild’s Chameleon Chrome collection.

Here’s a blurry pic , but it does capture some of nice shift.

I inititially thought these would be the same width of the Chameleon chrome liners , but they’re honestly a little wider , so you may not be able to get nice sharp lines if you just wanted to use this as a liner. But I noticed with my first wear test that you don’t really need a primer , but it does wear longer with a sticky glitter glue. I also didn’t really blend this out but i take it you could if you wanted to, I prefer more of an unblended look when it comes to wearing shifting shadows like this. It also has a nice creamy sort of consistency.

I tried to take multiple pictures of the shifts. but due to different lighting it can be tricky. Here we ave a pink , with sort of a grey green look.

Here’s it’s more green/gold in this lighting whenever a shadow hit it right , i could see a little blue.

back to the silvery pink.

I’m sad to say that I did order another Chameleon Chrome and it’s really really similar. I’ll have more pictures up on that review coming up though.

Some of these pictures were taken in my bathroom and other’s with the better ring lights , with a mix of cool and warm lighting. This one on top is in the bathroom and you can sort of see the green/blue along with the pink/copper and gold. I also wanted to make the definition between my brow and crease sharper so I used a liquid liner in a baby blue shade .

Here it looks mostly gold with a spot of green.

And now we have the pink with some green/blue. This honestly one of my favorite color shifts .

back to this greenish gold.

And more pink!

and an upclose pic with the bathroom lighting.

And here is the more lit up pictures . I’m still learning how to properly photograph multichromes , as sometimes you have to take multiple pictures to really do the colors justice.

I really liked this shadow stick and I feel like this is going to be one of my new on the go shadow . multichromes are some of my favorite shadows to for everyday looks. I think it’s because I can usually just add a few lines of liner and mascara with them , And I don’t really have to worry about blending or digging through my palettes for multiple shades.  I may order a few more of these Winx shadow stix , as I’m looking at the pink/blue/purple shifts. It would be nice to have multiple ones to rotate . Well let me know what you think and if you have tried these out yet? Or maybe you have some other multichromes in your collection, tell me in the comments, have a great week !

    1. These one’s are my first try . I’ve tried just regular colourpop liners in the last and wasn’t wow’d by them , and their Jellymuch left me disappointed with how fast they dry out . But this one is really nice . There’s still more of this Winx club collection on amazon and Colourpop’s website .

      1. Yeah! I loved the Jellymuch ones while they’re fresh, but they do dry out way too quickly. I’ve heard there are ways to bring them back to life but that’s too bothersome. Too much work to be worth it.

      2. I put some saline solution in mine and it kind if worked but , I still use it enough to justify all the work . I know there’s a product that is specifically for reviving jelly shadows but it feels like such a let down to have to buy another product just to make it usable . I don’t have these issues with liners or my normal shadows lol
