So today I thought I would start reviwing some shampoo and conditioners that I’ve been using recently . Now I’ll get this out of the way , theres alot of talk on the internet and in hair groups about which ones are good and which ones aren’t . No sulfates , no silicones ect . I’ll admit I’m not always one to follow these rules and will just get the shampoo that smells the best to me but, I do try use products that don’t strip my hair color out too much. Also my current hair care regime is to shampoo only a few times a week . Maybe two or three and usually either just rinse or use conditioner. I didn’t always do this even with my other bright colors . But with the pink I’m really trying to keep it bright . My dark roots are coming in again so I try to just shampoo those and leave the pink hair alone . So my hair care routine may not work the best for others . But anyway on to the review .

Before I found this brand I was using another Whole Blends Coconut milk shampoo . That one has been discontinued though. It smelled pretty good but it did have some silicone fillers in it , which is probably not the best if you have issues with buildup in your hair . The new Coconut Water and Aloe shampoo and conditioner  are both totally silicone free though.  Although the shampoo does have some sulphates ( salts ) in it . I don’t mind to much as I only use a tiny bit to shampoo my hair and I feel it cleans it better than a few of the non-sulfate shampoo that I’ve used in the past . Both smell very good , like coconuts , and only really a hint of the aloe . The Shampoo itself has a good lather , and seems to clean my hair with out leaving my hair dry. The conditioner is not overly oily , but still keeps my hair soft . It didn’t leave a film on my hair which I’ve had problems with other conditioners in the past . And it smelled great.

Overall I do like this set together . I’ve tried out a few of the other shampoos and conditioners from the Whole Blends line . I’ll try to post these up this week . Also keep in my fiancée uses these as well and his hair is long and a different texture than mine . So we tend to rotate products too . Also I feel like everyone’s hair and texture is different so what one person uses may have a different effect on someone else . I would recommend this shampoo to someone with slightly thicker long hair . If you have dyed hair I would reccomend only using a small amount of the shampoo to preserve your color . I can’t really speak to the curly haired people but it may work , but if you noticed dryness I would get something a bit more hydrating . For the price and convenience   though this a pretty solid shampoo and conditioner set, and its silicone free .

  1. My daughter is using the conditioner of this line, as she doesn’t like the fancy one I bought us recently. Hah! She hasn’t told me what she thinks of it yet, I’ll have to ask her. Usually no news is good news, if she doesn’t like it, she’ll complain right away!

    1. Yeah hopefully this one works out for her better. I have a few other whole blends shampoos and conditioners that I need to review. Most are pretty good and Fiancé likes them too .
