Hey everyone , I’m back! I honestly have meant to post this review sooner , but got caught up with other things . You know how it is . I’m returning to Punky’s yet again , it was one of the first hair dyes that I tried in my hair dying journey . And also one of the oldest next to Manic Panic that’s still being sold today .
The only real slight I would give Punky’s is that the jars are kind of small at 3.5 oz and can be harder to put your whole hand inside . I have this same complain with other jars like Lime Crime too and Arctic Fox bottles .
The consistency is a mix between a very thick pudding and gel consistency . It can be harder to spread but does cover my hair extremely well though . The dye can however just come out in one big glob though . It smells like grape bubblegum or candy . It’s not bad and reminds me of the Hot Topic brand N’Rage, which was one of my other early dyes . Also it’s really dark blue and when I had used this dye years ago , it wasn’t this dark.

So now it’s time to put it in my hair !
This was my starting faded color ! It’s also Punky Lagoon Blue too ! Which it honestly fades to a nice icy color if you have platinum blonde hair .
And here Inlet it set for a good 5-6 hours ! It was honestly pretty dark and reminded me more Punky Atlantic Blue.
And the next day ! It was intense !
The sheer vibrancy !! I was honestly pretty surprised . The color was not this intense years ago . I definitely think Punky amped up their Lagoon Blue. Before it was lighter and kind of more pastel green based blue . And while it does fade to that shade , it’s starting point is almost a neon blue .
And the color has stayed for almost two months !! It’s taken me a while to actually post this full review , I had to look back on my tiktok . But even with light shampoo, I’ve been able to maintain the color . The parts near my roots are a bit more seafoam green , but the ends are still blue .

Overall I think it’s a really great color , and has excellent staying power . I’m not sure if I want to reorder more or swap to Punky turqouise , or try the new Punky ocean blue foam .
