Happy Lemon X Genshin Collab

Hey everyone ! I meant to post this before , but here are some of my pics of the Happy Lemon X Genshin Impact collab ! My fiance took me to the shop before Christmas , and while he doesn’t like Boba tea, we shared a Klee Best-Tea drink together. There was a Jean drink too , that was spirulina with oreos , but Klee’s drink had pop rocks . And I’ll be honest Klee is my favorite Genshin character and also my first 5 star . So of course I would get her drink .

I could I was at the right shop when I saw the big Klee and Jean decals on the windows ! I did visit Happy Lemon later in the evening , so there was less people and no cosplayers . Kind of sad that I missed the little mini events , but still cool cause I could take pictures . The first couple exiting the shop said hi and knew exactly why me and my fiance were here for !

The whole store was decorated in cut outs and decals ! I do think they could’ve used some different poses for the two characters but it’s just nice having a Genshin Collab in America that’s not McDonalds ( that chicken sandwich was so gross ! , at least I got my red glider though) .

My makeup wasn’t the best that day so I didn’t take a selfie with Klee and Jean , but it’s still pretty cute .

I honestly don’t know if these were giant stickers or what , but I kind of wanted to bring them home . Of course Happy Lemon would probably not be too pleased with me taking their giant decals . So here’s a pic instead .

So now to the drink . Specifically the Klee pink cream drink. My guy isn’t the biggest boba fan but he shared with me as the drink was pretty large . The base was an Oolong tea , with lychee and grass jelly pieces along with the brown sugar boba pearls . Supposedly the pink cream was beet flavored , but it honestly just tasted sweet to me , although others on tiktok were saying it was slightly strawberry . I didn’t notice any berry hints either . The main notes for me was floral taste from the tea and sweet cream flavors from the whipped cream . The pop rocks were a really fun and nice touch though . After Klee loves explosions ! So I thought it really suited the character . I kind of wanted to try the Jean drink as well , as the first couple that came in and left had it and it looked nice ( it was a sky blue ) with the oreo toppings . But the Klee drink was pretty big and we were going out to eat later that night too . Now the big deal about this whole Klee drink was the combos or bundles that you could buy with the drink . America finally got Genshin Merch!

And the Jean side ! Of course they would have to have Jean as she’s kind of Klee’s babysitter . Poor knight lady having to deal with explosions all the time .

What’s crazy to think is that it’s taken a while for America to get Genshin collabs . Boba tea collabs are fairly common in Asia, and even Mexico City ( there was a think another Klee collab there as well ) and most will give away buttons , little plastic stands with the characters , stickers or trading cards . And yes again the Mcdonalds one was super cursed ! My fiance thought that we would share a sandwich and get the fancy red wing glider , the code took forever to get here , and the sandwich was horrible . Like the worst chicken sandwich ever created ! I didn’t think it was possible , but it was super nasty lol . One of our fellow Genshin playing friend’s warned us about the sandwich ( he tried passing it off to his siblings ) but it wasn’t till we had it that we truly understood how bad it really was . Also only specific McDonalds would even participate . So kind of a bad collab IMO . So , Genshin never collab with American McDonalds again , try Popeyes if you’re going to give us sandwiches again .
So yes I’m counting Happy Lemon as the first true Genshin Impact collab that has come stateside .

And since it’s holiday season , there’s some lights too ! 

I was super happy to get this new Klee tumbler as my last tumbler is on it’s last legs , it’s a My Little Pony one that a family member had given me . And it’s sadly chipped in a few places .  And yes Jean is on the other side of the tumbler as well. The cute fluffy Dodoco drink cozy is also adorable ! I’m kind of scared to use it with drinks , (I’m afraid I’ll get it dirty ) but maybe I’ll just use it around the house . I didn’t quite get it in the picture but it also has a little four leaf clover charm and happy lemon charm . a sheet of stickers , a special plastic klee card . My fiance had a good idea of placing it in my computer’s shell . I just need to get some lights for it . And finally another little card that has the codes for some primo gems , an in game smoothie and some I think a recipe too . Also I need to remember to redeem those codes , so if you also went to Happy Lemon and have the codes, use them before Jan 31st. 

Overall I thought this collab was really cute , and the drink was nice too ! It was my first time trying grass jelly, and even my fiance who doesn’t really like boba kind of liked it . he said he wanted to add the boba and grass jelly to a root beer 😂.  The bundles were a bit spendy with all of the items in the bundle plus drink coming up to $34.95 . But at the same time I do think it was worth more of my time and money than the Mcdonald’s collab , which while it did have the cool in game red glider wings ( I put equipped those to Klee right away) , it was just a messy collab, with really bad food . I would be more inclined to go to places like Happy Lemon , and grab some physical merch as well as the in game codes. I do think it’s about time Genshin Impact collab’d with a makeup company though as they’ve already had a collab with Kiehl’s skincare.
