nyx the face glue gripping primer review

Hey everyone ! I’ve had this box for a bout a week and was pretty excited when they picked me to try out the new Face Glue primer and setting spray. I’m splitting this review into two seperate one’s but today i would like to focus on the primer .

They packaging is very cute and definitely brings to mind school supplies and art class. 

This is meant to be a grippier primer and while it definitely does make your foundation stick around for longer , it’s not that sticky. Especially when compared to primers like the Milk Hydro grip primer or the E.L.F Cosmetics Jelly Pop Dew Primer which was very sticky. But it does it’s job and is more moisturzing than I would’ve thought. I liked how smooth it made my makeup too.

I do have  afew quick pictures I took with not all the lights that I usually use . But they’re to show off how my foundation looks.

for that look I used a combination of Too Faced Born this way liquid foundation, beauty blender concealer and a tiny bit wet n wild blushlighter . This was my going out look . My makeup held up pretty well from eating, drinking and just hanging out . 

Another quick look before going out ! I don’t remember which foundation I used but I think it was a powder over concealer . again the primer help my makeup in place for hours when I went out shopping.

My hair kind of faded but I used  Anastasia Beverly Hills concealer , along with Urban Decay Face Bond and a bit of seeting powder to counteract the dewiness from the settong spray. Also this picture was taken a few hours after applying my makeup and after shopping and baking some pumpkins.  So it’s a bit more lived in , but I had no breaking and not too much oiliness .

I really do like Nyx products and this one is on the same consistency and quality as their Nyx Marshmellow Primer which I loved a lot . I do still need to buy another bottle as it’s great for my skin and they also recently released a companion setting spray too. I would definitely recommend this primer as it’s moisturizing , great for smoothing skin and keeps my foundation looking good. I also like that it works with a variety of products and finishes too.  Let me know if you have tried out this primer or any of the new Face Glue products in Nyx’s new line . Have a great week !
