I’m going to say it! This may be one of the worst makeup puns I’ve seen in a while. Why do makeup companies do this ? Like cringe naming? It’s so wierd . Well that aside I’m back for more Multistick reviews, the first two (purple and green) were kind of lackluster even though the colors were nice , the third (lavender ) was a mixed result , it was a really nice color, worked sort of good as a blush, looked nice on the eyes , just no staying power. I’m hoping this pink works nice , at least as lipstick , or blush. I’m pretty skeptical about near the eyes though.
Here’s the swatch, it has nice pearlescent finish and is nice bright pink shade.
And yes I’ve been putting off reviewing this as this formula is not my favorite . Nope that award would go to Nyx jumbo eye pencils. Those are amazing . The Wet n Wild is more mid to low in my opinion. When I used it on my eyes I had to keep going over again as it’s kind of patchy. Plus I had a similar problem on my lips. I don’t really remember using it on my cheeks so I’ll have to do that in the future. It does smudge pretty easy though.
My look today was inspired by makeup artist Alexandra French.
Here’s the inspiration pic!
And here’s my take on that look , but a bit more simplified . At least the eyes. The lips I knew I couldn’t reproduce with this product.
The pink is a bit softer , but I still liked the idea of using the darker pink in the corner of the eyes and winged out . Also I lined the bottom of my eyes with the pink too. I did have to keep going over my eyes with the stick as it just didn’t want stay on my eyes .The lighter pink is from the BH Cosmetics Fairy Lights palette, the shimmer is from the Juvia’s Place Culture palette.
I had fun with this style of makeup and I do think I want to do a more bold purple version like the inspiration picture above. I definitely have a on of purples and lavenders to play around with along with shimmers.
Now the lips :
Well I just don’t like these products , this one was really patchy and just not that nice on my lips. I don’t mind the color per say, but it looks very 1980s , which if formulated right can be a look, but not when it’s patchy.
And yes I gave up my pastel hair for intense midnight blue verging on neon lavender hair. I mixed both punky bluemania and punky purpledacious , did not dilute with conditioner. My hope is that it will fade to a periwinkle pastel shade, and I’ll just touch up as I need to . Wish me luck !
I took another pic to see maybe it was the angle , but no I’m not liking this multistick on the lips , it looks like it dried them out. So Almay goddess gloss in Rainbow to the rescue!
I could not stand the lips lol, but the Goddess gloss makes it wearable . Like yeah it’s a bit 80s but now it has dimension. Maybe this can be a Barbie look whenever I decide to go see the new Barbie movie in theaters.
I was happy how the eyes turned out . I will definitely try a better product for he darker shade next time.
And my opinion of the Wet n Wild multisticks hasn’t changed really changed much. They’re very hit or miss and not my favorite formula. I do have one more stick to try and it’s a very dark royal blue. I was considering using it instead of the pink but I wanted more contrast with my hair . Plus I wanted to wear a bright pink shirt today. let me know what you think. Have a wonderful week✨.
