Punky colour 3-in-1 color depositing shampoo +conditioner in Bluemania review

As promised I will be reviewing the other Punky’s color depositing shampoo+condtioner’s. I have four of these honestly, two purple ( having a good purple is great for toning bleached hair ) this blue and a cool toned pink. I’m not sure when I’ll try the pink since I think it’s similar to the Punky Flamingo pink which I tried years ago. It was more of a fuchsia pink when compared to say Iroiro’s Neon Pink or Lime Crime’sBubblegum Rose . But I’ve been wanting to shift to blue’s and more of the cool toned icy shades . I initially put this over faded Punky purple and Lime Crime Pony. Pony really liked my hair so I’ve had some ashy purple peeking through near my bangs and fringe. So let’s check out the shade.

This blue is really close to Punky Colour Atlantic Blue that comes in a jar. I had Atlantic Blue in my hair for years and used to buy it religiously. It’s an amazing blue shade that fades super icey pastel if you have a good platinum base.

So yeah I’ve experianced this shade before and this shampoo is very close to Atlantic Blue. And wow it’s pigmented . I have yet to use it just straight on my and instead have been mixing it with my coconut conditoner and painting it on with a tint brush. Then just put a shower cap over my hair , shave and ect and later rinse. And it still sticks to my hair really well. Also this stuff smells amazing , like bubblegum.

This was taken the right after using the dye, and it was super bright. It toned the faded Pony dye but I still have residual purple. On my ends though, it’s definitely blue ! And because it’s more cool toned with not really aany green in it it fades to an icy blue.

This lasted for about a week or two and then the purple started to show again . 

The ends are still bright blue though.

Here a little more time has passed and you can see the blue is fading to a more pastel version of itself.

And here’s how it looked before I did the big bleach job on my roots. I may have touched up a bit with conditoner , but I made sure to dilute it more with conditioner .

And here’s my current look now ! I bleached the roots to the lightest blonde I could. but it’s still a bit  of level 8 or 9 blonde. I would like to match the platinum streaks sometime, but I don’t want to over do it. So I’m walking around like this for a while. I added some conditioner on and some bluemania to my ends and since to add more moisture, This shampoo +conditoner is actually pretty good for dry hair. Also I mixed a lot of conditioner , added a few drops of bluemania and purpledacious and it made the perfectb toner to cancel out the brass in the blonde. Blue cancel’s the orange tones while purple(or violet) cancels the yellow tones. So you have a nice ashy blonde base . And it also helps condition the hair too!

 

Punky’s is pretty good for the price and for how much you get in the bottle. I still have my first bottle of the purple and really have only used a tiny bit of the blue. I’m trying to stick to pastel tones so this well totally help stretch out how much product I use. I do eventually want to use a more powder blue dye when my blonde is a bit lighter.
