E.l.f COsmetics Liquid Metallic Eyeshadow In Moon review

It’s more E.L.F stuff ! This time it’s the second liquid eyeshadow , the fancy gold champagne color , Moon . I really loved how nice this color looks in the bottle , like molten gold . Also before I forget this item was sent to me free for testing purposes from Influenster and E.L.F in exchange for my honest review .

So while I loved the way this looks in the bottle and swatched , I did have some issues with using it on my eyes . The first time I tried to layer it over one of my Urban Decay shadows and it kind if fell apart. This may have been because it was pearl style shadow , but I was pretty sad as Lioness ( a deep burgundy brown shade would’ve looked really nice with Moon . So instead I used two matte purples , Funtasy from Too Faced’s Life’s A Festival palette and Tail Feather from Makeup Revolution’s Bird of Paradise palette . I left my middle lid bare and did sort of a half cut crease with Moon. this worked out fantastic ! So after all that I noticed it doesn’t work the best with my white shadow base ( it’s a bit oil based ) or really the glitter primer . And worked better just with the very dry matte shadows or bare lids. So rather than being a topper like the glitter shade I review recently , this one works best not being layered over another shadow .

I will be using this with some of my other matte shades . I feel like some of my Juvia’s Place neutrals will pair nicely with this gold . While I do like it I do think it was a bit finicky , but I’m willing to try out some of the other colors since E.L.F’s Liquid shadows are $5. They’re also pretty small but this might be an okay thing as some liquid shadow products can easily dry out . Sadly my Rimmel WonderCloud shadow has already dried out , so I’ll be tossing that soon. Well let me know what you think in the comment’s section . Have a good week everyone ✨
