As promised another hair product review ! This time on Garnier’s Whole Blends Illuminating Conditioner. This is very heavily fragranced product , so if your not a fan of strong perfumes that might be a deal breaker. For me its actually a nice smell . Like cashmere and a hint of vanilla. I take it thats the Camellia scent . I’ve never really smelled a camellia before but it does smell nice . It has a bit of spicy note underneath too . So aside from the scent this conditioner is supposed to make dull hair vibrant . I didn’t really notice on my own hair but my Fiancé’s hair did look pretty shiny after he used this . His hair is virgin and has never been dyed and is not quiet a coarse as my natural hair is . For myself though I don’t think it Conditioned quite a well as I wanted. There was no gross film thank goodness but I felt I needed a bit more moisture in my locks . Its a bit strange since I do use a bottle of argan oil to smooth out my occasionally after bleaching . But I think if you have virgin less coarse hair this might be a good conditioner for you . It does contain Amodimethicone , but I believe thats the silicone that is more water soluable , so it doesn’t just set on your hair like the Sexy Healthy Conditioner does . Overall it didn’t do too much for me but there wasn’t anything overly negative either . So I’ll probably keep it around if I want a more perfumed conditioner on my hair .

  1. It’s great the conditioner seems to work well for your fiancé’s hair. I’m not a big fan of Garnier’s current hair care collection. I find their conditioners are difficult to work into long hair, and I always need a lot of conditioner in order to detangle my hair.

    1. They can be . I like the coconut one . It seems to work for me without making my hair overly oily or not being conditioning enough. I may sometime try some of the Shea moisture products . I hear good things about that brand in my colored hair group .
