Nyx Matte Lipstick in Haze

I finally found a nice neutral grey lipstick. Most that I own lean a bit more bluish or purple/taupe . So online I decided to check out Nyx’s matte Haze color . And I was pleasantly surprised with how nice it looks .

The texture of this lipstick is pretty interesting , its slightly creamy for what is supposed to be a matte , it doesn’t slip too much though . I actually kind of like the formula since it doesn’t dry out my lips too bad . I think a lip liner would help out though if you were worried about it bleeding but I didn’t really have that problem . The color itself is a nice neutral grey , with no blue or purple tones . Its not streaky but using a lip brush does help with application . I feel with colors like grey , black and dark blue , its best to have precise strokes so the lipstick doesn’t look too messy . Also it lacks any kind of scent or at least one that I noticed. it may slip around depending on what you actually eat. Sandwiches are pretty much a no go unless you bring the tube with you to reapply the lipstick.

I tried pairing the grey with purple and taupes on the eyes.

Overall I really liked this lipstick , and it was nice to try out an inexpensive grey to see if I really liked this shade. I will probably wear this out a bit more and maybe invest in liquid grey as this one isn’t completeley smudge proof. But for the price and how nice it applies I do like it. Plus I’ve been experimenting with adding a metallic topper to this shade to give it a bit more depth.I may post pics of that when I try it out later.

Well hope everyone is having a great start to the New Year. I’ve been behind in posts due to the holidays and getting over a head cold. Not really the best way to start off the New Year but I’ve been using my sick time to catch up on my reading and games. I have more games to finish still , maybe I’ll post some screen shots.

    1. Why thank you ! I think greys and black lipsticks are easier to work with when the formuala is more consistent . Back in the day some of the darker shades were hard to use , now theres a bit more variety with formulas and finishes .
