*This product was sent out to me by Influenster and Nyx professional makeup in exchange for my honest review.

So Nyx and Influenster sent out their new Make’Em Wonder soft matte foundation for me to test out. I was pretty excited as I had seen leaks of this foundation in a makeup forum . Also the packaging looked very similar to Urban Decay Face Bond foundation which I hve in my makeup bag. And while face Bond is an okay foundation for me it’s not my favorite as I like Beautyblender Bounce Skin Tint a bit better.
But the packaging and the drip nozzle is very similar to Urban Decay’s Face Bond.

I was a little worried about the foundation when it came though as it looked a bit darker in the bottle .

swatching , it looked a bit more yellow toned rather than the neutral that I usually like .

Blending it out on my arm , it seemed even more yellow toned. So this made me worried . Also it takes a while to scrub off my arm even with coconut oil. it didn’t have any weird smell . So now let’s try out doing a video.
My video isn’t super fancy but you can see how it goes over my skin. I did prep with Nyx Marshmellow Primer and it sort of my skin a bit more oily looking than normal > I mean I do have oily problem skin , I did notice I had to go over my skin a second time with a tiny bit more foundation in the video . Using both a brush to apply and a beauty blender I was able to get decent coverage.

At first I didn’t really like it. In this picture I look more yellow toned and yes it could be my hair and my lighting working against me . Olives can be tricky you know . And while this a medium olive , I usually tend to wear a neutral olive.

Again kind of okay , I do like that it smoothed my face out and covered some of my pimples.

And with just the cool light it wasn’t as yellow.
And now for the real surprise .

Wait I’m actually the right color in sunlight ! I opened my window and turned off my lamps , aside from just the room’s light. Way more natural looking. Okay maybe I don’t hate it .

Also the first top pictures I didn’t add blush , the lower three I did to see how products would layer on top. I used the purple fat cheeks blush by Nyx and a little bit of setting powder as well. I think I will still use this but I’ll try to use it more sparingly . Also I wonder what would happen if I mixed an other shade with as well?
Well let me know what you think. I’m not super in love with the formula , even though it’s matte it did get kind of shiny after an hour of wear and while I was happy that it was just my lighting that made it look more yellow , I think next time I’ll try another primer to see if that stops the shininess through the day. Well let me know what you think . have you tried this foundation and did it work for you?
