So it’s been a while since I’ve gotten new brushes , but my guy thought I needed some extras. And to be honest I do . So I was more than happy when he surprised me with this 16 piece brush set.
There’s a nice mix of face, complexion brushes and eyeshadow brushes as well. plus an eyebrow razor . I havern’t tried that out yet , but most of the other brushes I was able to use recently.
The handles are a nice smooth plastic , possibly plastic coated wood. I’m not really too sure. But the brushes themselves are super soft and silky. They seemed to really pick up my powders too and I was able to use the face brushes with my liquid foundation. I’m still not super fond of using brushes for liquid foundation as I can sometimes use too much and get sort of a mask like look. So I only used a tiny bit of my Too Faced Born this way foundation applied it with one of biggere brushes and then later went back over it with a wet beauty blender.
The eyeshadow brushes I thought worked really well and I was able to both appply and blend .
I used one of the smaller eyeliner blushes to apply the darker cobolt blue over a white liner. It didn’t really stick because my liner dried super quick but I was happy with how it came out. Also this is one my oldest shadows too, from the Urban Decay Electric palette. The rest of my shadows being Juvia’s Place and SugarPill. Also the fan bruish included in this kit was a bit wider and thicker than what I’m used to . My older fan brush is quite a bit thinner and probably better for having the barely there highlighter look. But this one works too, it picks up my highlighters and gives me a nice bold line. I used it on my brow bone too.
Now for the full face look . I’ll reusing some pictures from some previous reviews but I was really happy how this look came together.
I used one of the round brushes to apply my blush and setting powder.
Overall I think these work really great ! I’ll be using them more in futurer and rotating them into my already kind of large brush collection. Well It’s great being back and posting more reviews , I’ll have more up soon. Have a great week ✨.
