sheglam lunar glow highlighter in neutron star review

Hey everyone ! I’m going through my backlog of makeup and photos and wanted to share this super cute UFO highlighter from Sheglam. My guy and I were binging Resident Alien recently and he saw this on Amazon .

My guy knows I love aliens and ufos ( The X-Files is still one of my favorite shows ). So of course I would love to try out a spacey highlighter .

The highglighter was shipped to me in a super secure foam box.

The packaging is amazing and very sci-fi with a UFO abducting a shopping cart. I love it ! I did check if the packaging glows , but I don’t think it does , but it still might look cool under a blacklight . I seem to have misplaced mine sadly , otherwise I would’ve checked . Do you all remember the Nightmare Before Christmas Colourpop collection a few years ago ? Like all of the packaging glowed under blacklight and even though it dried up on me , I still have the jellymuch shadow and it’s original black light packaging . This packaging reminds me of it the Colourpop box.

Also is that an HP Lovecraft shoutout ? Nyarlhotep maybe?  It’s kind of a scary tentacle compared to the cute UFO.

Also inside the UFO or (maybe it’s a planet instead) is housed safely with more foam . I appreciate the care with keeping the product secure . It’s really nice and it displays the highlighter as well as keeping it safe.

From above with more direct lighting it looks more like a silvery white , but I took multiple shots .  Plus the Alien tag is super cute.

Here next to my computer you can see the more shimmery green and blue.

Finally a sort of blurry up close pic, but you can actually see the color .

My swatches look more silvery though.

I actually do like it bette than the Dior Opal glow though. It was easier to swatch and to pick up with my fan brush .  But you can also just use your finger too , it’s a really nice formula , kind of close to the Wet n Wild Venus Swing , but not as chunky and maybe a bit more blue . Honestly if you just love blue/green highlighters , both the Sheglam and the Wet n Wild Venus Swing are great and pretty easy to order.

It also has a bit of a wet look too , I like how it reflects light .

in direct white light with flash it looks more etheal.

I of course wore it on Halloween for dinner !

I went a little heavy too so you could see it . But you can also make it look moire sheer too. I used a flat brush to really pack it on my cheeks .

 

Flash forward to this week when I bleached my roots . And it’s more subtle . I’m definitely wearing it on my cheeks but I used a lighter hand.  

Overall it’s one of my new favorite highlighters , I love the green/blue/ silver shift and I can even use it on my eyes for a sheer shimmer . I’m kind of down to try out the other highlighters in the Sheglam Lunar Glow collection. I saw a pink , champagne, and gold on Amazon that looked really nice as well as UFO blushes .  Well let me know what you think and tell me about your favorite highlighters .
