Hey everyone , I’m not sure if you all read my previous brown lipstick review ,the Kylie Cosmetics Plumping Powder matte lipstick , I loved the color but didn’t quite like the overly dry formula. But I remembered the Wet n Wild Cloudpout marshmallow lip mousse , which I’ve tried before with the pink shade Candy Wasted. I really liked the formula and feel , it’s like a nice matte , sort of sticky powder stain. Similar to the Nyx Powder Puff. And remembered there was a darker brown shade that could be similar to the Kylie Chocolate Teddy lipstick. So let’s see how it looks.
I do like that it’s not totally matte but it does have a bit of shine to it. Also I feel like this shade of chocolate has bit more of a red tone to it .
Here’s the Kylie Cosmetics in Chocolate teddy. The swatches look similar but I feel like when Chocolate Teddy dries down it has more of an ashy look to it. This may be cooler toned than Love You S’mores.
And let’s do an up close look with flash and without.

It definitely has a nice shine to it and does look more red toned with the flash . Also it’s darker than Chocolate teddy

Now without flash:
No flash and it looks like a darker chocolate brown. Also this formula is just nicer feeling on the lips , it does dry down , but feels way more comfortable . it doesn’t make my lips feel like a desert. Also the scent of the Cloudpout lip mousses is like a light marshmallow scent . I do wish they made more colors though , it would be nice to see some lavenders, purples and even grey and black in this same line .
Now let’s check out Chocolate Teddy :
No flash and after it dried down . I still like the color , but I feel like Love S’mores shines a bit in that it doesn’t dry down like this . I have blotted it with a tissue before and i’ve gotten a more diffused look , that wasn’t this dry looking.
As for longevity , The Kylie one does stay on a bit longer , but the cloudpout does kind of get more diffused and faded when you drink .But it’s workable.
I tried to take pictures at different angles and to kind of show how the color looks like in different lighting . here you can see that nice reddish tone . it’s still a nice darker brown shade .
The front camera kind of washes me out a bit and makes the brown look cooler.
This was taken in direct light , using both my yellow toned and blue lights.
Direct yellow light , kind of like how it would look in the sun. So far I’m really liking this lip mousse , and while I bought it to dupe and compare with the Chocolate Teddy by Kylie Cosmetics , I can see where the shade is a bit different . So I’ll still wear the Kylie one when I want that exact shade of chocolate brown. But I like the feel and wear of this one way better . It just feels better on my lips . Also at the time of me typing this post, I did look online to see what other colors were in this line , and noticed that only Amazon sells all the colors. I wonder if Wet n Wild has discontinued the cloudpout series , as only one color shows up on their website. It’s kind of lame as I do like these lip mousses, and I wish they would just expand the colors instead. makeup brands are so fickle somtimes .
