wet n wild photofocus cucumber 3-in-1 primer water review

IMG_7676I forgot all about this cucumber setting spray , and oh wait it’s also a primer! Ooh that’s actually kind of cool . I’ll be honest when I put this in my cart I saw cucumber and setting spray , I wanted to try it . But had no idea you could use it as a primer too !

So for my current makeup test , I wanted to try it out with my favorite Beauty Blender skin tint foundation and Anastasia Magic concealer . I was also feeling a bit blue , since I recently redid my hair . So I decided to use the Urban Decay Element’s palette , it’s kind of an older palette , so I thought it may be good to see how well the setting spray worked with it .  And Almay shimmer over Nyx candy gloss ! .
I started misting my face first , then applying my makeup like usual.  After I finished up with my eye makeup and foundation I did another spritz to help everything stay in place . I will say I feel like this setting spray is oily or at least more moisturizing than the nyx matte finish setting spray . But that’s a matte where this feels more like a dewy style finish . It did seem to keep my eye makeup in place , but my foundation a felt needed a setting powder on top . It was getting a bit too dewy for my tastes . I do think I could use it with my powder foundation though .  And yes it does smell like cucumber!

I’m testing out different lighting so that’s why some of my pictures look a bit different . I honestly think that this spray works best with powder products , as it kind of keeps them from looking so dry . And it does keep the eyeshadow looking fresh with no creasing . Plus the overly moisturizing feel , would probably suited for dry skin or dry weather in the winter months .  I’ll probably rotate this with my other setting sprays, although the Urban Decay All Nighter spray is still my favorite!

IMG_9425I will say it made my skin a bit softer too . So definitely moisturizing.

IMG_9446Also my roots are done ! I put some purple over to tone my roots and added a bit of turqouise , and that’s how I got this awesome ocean blue ! Then added some Iroiro turqouise drops in my conditioner and applied those to my ends . I’m really loving the ombre look , but I’ll probably use the turqouise full strength soon. Let me know what you think about this setting spray and what are some of your favorites ? Have a great week !

    1. It’s really good , but definitely a bit more on the dewy side . I did find out yesterday that Nyx has a marshmallow setting spray to go with their marshmallow primer , so I’ll probably be trying that next !

      1. Oh nice ! Did you get to write a review ! I would love to see it ✨and I get the summer time heat not being fun for makeup . I usually put my makeup on the evening and go out when the sun is down lol
