I was pretty excited for this one too ! It’s a pomegranate perfume! I love pomegranates and I don’t think I’ve really smelled a good pomegranate scented perfume. Mostly just pomegranate body washes . And there’s also supposed to be a bit of sweet cake too .
So I’ve had this a few months now , and that’s given me plenty of time to wear it out and even layer it with some other scents, which I don’t too often since I mostly have other coconut , pistachio or vanilla fragrances. This by itself is very sweet . But not in an obnoxious way . It’s very fruity at first , with hints of pomegranate , strawberry (which for me the strawberry is the stronger of the two fruits) some lemon zest,vanilla and tons of marhsmallowy cake notes . I think there is supposed to be some woody notes but mny nose doesn’ really detect it at all.
On my skin , it starts very fruity and sweet , juicy pomegranate and strawberry , then I get the marshmallow vanilla scent. And honestly after staying on my skin it smells more marshmallow with a tiny hint of the strawberry. A bit like a strawberry cake with whipped cream frosting. I can see how if you don’t like overly sweet or gourmond scents this might be a turnoff , but for me I really like it. And one spritz lasts me the whole day. So I tend to gop easy when I spray this , also it does kind of smell different on my clothes than my skin. The vanilla and marshmallow stays longer on my skin where as the various fruity notes stay longer on my clothes . And sometimes my blouse will smell like strawberry bubblegum. It’s also kind of reminds me of the Pink Cow Squishmallows scent that’s at Ulta. I’m still tempted to buy that mainly for the bottle but they’re both fruity marshamllow scents that are very dessert based . So I think this one is another to try out in store first before you buy since not everyone likes such a sweet dessert perfume. I love it and have been wearing it on a weekly. My fiance says that to him it smells like chocolate , and angel food caked mixed with strawberries. I was taken aback as I really don’t smell any cocoa notes but he did seem to like it but said it was kind of strong. He’s not usually into fragances so I alwasys ask his opinion since he has some interesting takes . Well let me know if you have tried this or any of the other Skylar perfumes . which ones did you like?
