So now to part two of the Maybelline Influnester vox box . This time I’ll be talking about the two color tattoo ink eyeshadow stix. I remember hearing good things about Maybelline’s Color Tattoo line , mainly their little shadow jars . But never really tried them as most colors were always sold out at my local Ulta. So let’s take a look at the two shadow stix now.
The first is I am Unapologetic, which is a medium soft brown matte that is a bit more warm toned that I initially thought. Thge cap seems more cool but when swatched on my bare skin.
Also these do have a built in sharpener if you want a sharper tip to use a liner as well. And you do twist the product to get more shadow .I would say these are much better than the Wet n Wild Multisticks , which I have various colors in. They tend to be really dry and not very good at staying on my eyes. And the built in sharpener is a nice addition , that I wish Nyx Jumbo liners had .
It’s a bit more warm . The swatched stayed on my arm and had to be rubbed off with coconut oil, so it is a pretty clingy to skin. It’s also covers nicely with only two swipes too. So pretty easy ton apply.
Next up is I am Spicy:
This is a warm toned copper rose shade and it also has a metallic finish.
It looks pretty sparkly.
which doesn’t translate as well on the swatch . It’s sort of metallic looking but not as much as the tip of shadow stick looks in my picture above.
Now let’s use both of them on my eyes.
The nice thing is they apply really well and really don’t move much when I swipe them on. But they don’t really blend out. Luckily for me the brown near my crease and outer corner was soft enough that it didn’t look harsh. I also used that same brown under my eyes as a liner. The metallic rose copper shade made a nice lid shade, and I attempted to blend it in with I am Unapologetic. It didn’t really blend so I just did another swipe of that brown to sort of connect the two shades.
It did later crease a bit after hours of wear but nothing too bad . Overall it was nice for a one and done look and I think that’s where these stix proabably shine . I would be willing to try other colors though as I don’t really wear this particular shade or brown or copper shades too often.
Overall pretty nice on the go makeup and their proabbly nice just throw in your makeup bag .
