It’s been a while but I’m back and now with more reviews ! I skipped the Charlotte Tilbury Collab for this awesome Zenless Zone Zero collab. I was pretty excited for this one as I do love Genshin’s sister game, Zenless Zone Zero, and this is one of their first collab’s in America . Well technically it’s a global event , it’s just being slowly rolled out around the world.
Also each region has different restaurants that’s they’re collating with. America’s is the Japanese cream puff , BeardPapa’s . I’ve never heard of BeardPapa’s before but I was pretty happy it wasn’t another McDonald’s collab. Also it’s been forever since I’ve had a cream puff and the flavors did look good.
Plus the main reason I wanted to go to BeardPapa’s ! The cute little Burnice and Anby stands along with the buttons .
There’s even a Magical Girl style animated video of Burnice and Anby too !
So after waiting an extra week ( My local BeardPapa’s didn’t have the merch yet) , I finally went out to pick up two 4 packs of cream puffs.
Now depending on your city and location the prices do vary , But this is for those curious about how much these puff packs are. A 2 piece will only come with the button and special game code. Also the game codes are kind of nice since you get a free avatar, and special edition name card along with the polychromes . Also a few other special in game materials . The 4 piece is what I ordered , well two 4 piece sets , and those came with one Anby or Burnice ( I had to get two to get both) and the game codes. The 6 pack is pretty spendy but comes with your choice of stand , game codes and one button. Honestly my guy and I decided we did not need that many cream puffs as we already getting 8 , plus his bro wanted a few and a special Oreo cream puff .
As for the store , it wasn’t decorated like the Happy Lemon Collab with Genshin , I was just excited that they finally had merch as other locations sold out or just didn’t order .
Also as of writing this , The official BeardPapa’s is listing the locations of participating stores and whether they have stands, cards or even cream puffs.
And Success !
So I honestly was so happy to get stands that I didn’t notice that my cream puffs weren’t as green or red as the pictures , but talking to others online in discord , I got the wrong puffs lol. I think they ran out of the Royal raspberry that was meant to be Burnice’s signature puff , and had very little of the Key Lime Crumble for Anby’s . I instead got strawberry though, and while it was petty good ( had a white chocolate , hint of strawberry taste) I really want to try the Royal Raspberry now. The keylime crumble was more of hint of keylime and I think it would’ve been better with more keylime taste. But that’s my option as a Key Lime pie fan. The other puffs are your standard puff shell with the vanilla custard ( with real vanilla bean, I could see the specks) and a tiny bit of powdered sugar on top. I do think some of the puffs could’ve been better with a different filling , vanilla is nice but what would an actual keylime custard have been like ? Also for those curious you can get other flavors like matcha , Oreo , honey butter , churro , Ube , and chocolate and matcha fillings as well. If I do go back I may try one of those next.
Now for the main event !
These looked way better in person ! And a nice heavier duty acrylic material too! I really love these cute outfits for pyromaniac Burnice and super soldier Anby, if only they would give these to us in the game . Plus the holographic sheen is a such a nice touch. And for my fiancé’s idea , let’s stick them in our computers !

Overall I think this was a pretty cute collab,and while cream puffs are a bit niche , I think it was a nice change of pace . I do still kind of want a Burnice or Anby button and grab a Royal Raspberry cream puff , so who knows I may return to BeardPapa’s . Also if you’re in an area with a collab , I suggest calling the stores in advance to see if they still have merch and food . That’s pretty cool! The only food collab I can think of that I’ve tried was last year when Burger King had a One Piece collab (technically just Luffy and Sanji). My husband and I bought the shirts that they sold there with the meals, but the shirts are still in the plastic packaging as collector items. lol. I don’t know if it was through all burger kings or just certain countries.

That’s pretty cool honestly ! I don’t think the Burger King’s in the states have had very good collabs . The last One Piece collab I’ve seen was with a Ramen shop , but they cold out super fast . One of my friend’s is a big One Piece fan , he really wanted that collab .

If my husband found out that one existed and that he missed it, he’d be so unhappy. He loves Asian food and One Piece is his favorite anime…so that’s an awesome pairing for him. lol.

I still haven’t watched One Piece even though I watch so many shows . Like most of my shows are anime lol . Well hopefully your husband can find some more cool collabs .
Oh have you both seen Apothocary Diaries ? It’s not really actiony but the story is so good . This girl named MaoMao who’s an apothocary gets kidnapped and sent to the royal palace in Ancient China and basically solves medical mysteries and there like palace scheming too . It’s so good !

I haven’t heard about the Zenless Zone Zero game, but I do think it’s fun they’re doing a food collab around the world! I hope you can try the Royal Raspberry puff and get a button!

Zenless is pretty fun ,it came out last year and while being a gatcha game , gas a really fun combat system , that’s a bit more like an old fighting game ( think street fighter or tekken) and has nice sort of down to earth post apocalyptic story . If that makes sense lol , like the world may be over but it’s kind of a slice of life and the charaters are pretty lovable .
And yes those puffs were good ! I’m ready for raspberry 😂
