Hi-Chew Infrusions candy review

So my favorite candy besides gummies is actually Hi-Chew , they’re like an amazing hybrid of a gum like texture , but also kind of like a starburst except not as artificial tasting. The fruit flavors are more true to the actual fruit . My favorite flavors are the melon, mango and dragonfruit , but honorable mention goes to pineapple , green apple and the special Muscat grape flavor. But today while out shopping is found these new Infrusions which are infused with apple puree. I was super excited to try these out.

So the apple purée is meant to make these a bit juicier than normal , I believe theres actual small pieces of apple in the candy. I did notice it a bit when I tried the first candy , but they’re pretty small. Also these things are really juicy , and insanely flavorful. The first piece I tried was Juicy Peach , which tastes very similar to the Kern’s or June’s Peach nectar . It was amazing , so no fake peach flavor here. It’s very sweet and fragrant . You can definitely taste the fruit juice in these small little candies .

Next one is the Juicy Strawberry , this one reminded me of strawberry jam or preserves . It was super sweet but also had a hint of the natural tartness of strawberries. This one was really nice but not my favorite . Not that I disliked it but I like the more exotic flavors more and I think the peachy was a little better overall.

And finally the last flavor is blood orange ! This one made it hard or me to choose my favorite out of the bag. As I really loved the peach nectar , but this one really tasted like biting into a super sweet blood orange. But it also had a good balance of the zest (like the orange peel ) so it’s not overly sweet , but still really juicy and tastes very close to an actual blood orange.

Overall these were amazing little candies and I’ll probably pick up another bag as my fiancé loves them too ! I hope they come out with more flavors in this Infrusions line. Also there are some Hi-Chew gummies floating around at a different store. so maybe I’ll pick those up too. Let me know if you’ve tried out any Hichews lately. What are your favorite flavors ?
