eos holiday collection :sparkling appletini and blackberry bellini lip balm review

Happy holidays everyone! I was finally able to get my hands on the new EOS holiday lipbalms ! This year was tough as I had to decide between two different double packs , The fruity one and the cookie one . In the end fruit won , and as I really wanted to try out the blackberry bellini flavor .  But if fruity drinks aren’t you’re thing the other set was Iced Gingerbread and Milk and Cookies . I will probably go back and grab that one too , but for now let’s check out this blackberry bellini. Also on one last note I love the sparkly festive holographic packaging ! I wish the lip balms were also holographic , how cool would that be ?

And of course the first one I tried was the Blackberry Belllini ! My fiance also tried , and much to my surprise , he said it smells like plums . I was like what? How could this be , it’s supposed to smell like blackberries , and maybe champagne right? And while I do think there are hints of blackberries , there’s also a plumminess to it as well. But maybe the plum notes are meant to be champagne ? As for it how it moisturizes, it’s very smooth and keeps my lips pretty soft. It’s not quite as thin feeling as the summer pops line . But still really nice and makes a good base for lipsticks .

And now on to the Sparkling Appletini flavor . This one doesn’t really have the champagne notes , but it does have a fresh sort of candy apple scent. Using it a bit more I noticed that it has a hint of lemon too. Still very apple-y though. Similar to those green apple jolly ranchers . I do think the balm case should’ve been a festive green shade to match the Sparkling Appletini aesthetic.  Plus it’s Christmas , and green is definitely a holiday color.  But aside from that it’s very nice goes on smooth. And again makes a nice lip primer for lipstick. 

Overall I think this is one of my favorite holiday EOS sets, and I will definitely be going back to try the iced gingerbread and milk and cookies flavors . Let me know what you think. And Merry Christmas everyone!
