E.L.F skin Holy Hydration face cream review

And now for the second half of my E.L.F Cosmetics review ! This time I will be talking about the Holy Hydration face cream. I’ve tried a tiny sample of this moisturizer before when I ordered the watermelon jelly primer . But I didn’t really like it. I thought it was a bit to greasy . But maybe that sample was mixed wrong as this jar is actually pretty good.

It’s got hyaluronic acid and peptides as well as being fragrance free . And while on the creamy side ( I prefer gel based moisturizers) It does absorb into my face better than that little sample I tried a few  years ago. 

I do think it is a bit too dewy on my face to wear in the day time , but I can still layer makeup over it ( on cooler days with no humidity ) and wear it at nightime . It did make my face smoother and moisturized it pretty welll too. I used it alongside my Well People moisturizer (which is also owned by E.L.F)and  cosrx serum. 

 

Forgive me for reusing pictures but this is what my makeup looked like over the moisturizer. I think it came out pretty well . i still have a few visiable acne scars but I tried going light with the skin tint .  Overall this is one of the few products that i initially didn’t like and then retried again and actually like. It’s pretty easy to find in stores and while I still prefer leniege water bank moisturizer ,this is a solid face product.
