boba vida thai coconut popping pearls review

IMG_8944I found these at my store the other day and wanted to share them . I’m always on the lookout for boba tea kits or drinks that I can make at home and I saw these these individual pouches . There was a few other flavors too like raspberry, bubblegum, cherry slush and cotton candy . I chose the Thai coconut as coconut is one of my favorite flavors and since it’s just the pearls and not the drink mix , I wanted to add them to my horchata .
IMG_8945Also these pearls are made with marine algae which I thought was pretty cool , plus the also pop . I think the filling is white grape juice flavored with coconut. I honestly didn’t really taste the grape juice and just the coconut , I only knew about from reading the package .

And here’s the pearls in my horchata drink ! The Thai coconut really compliments the drink and adds a nice tropical taste to the more mellow rice and cinnamon horchata . I really liked the combo to be honest . My only complaint is you could really only get two drinks from this pouch . I put the rest in a little sandwich baggie in the fridge , but I really wanted a larger package . It would be cool if they sold these in either larger packages or like a 6 or 12 pack. But I do think they’re worth trying if you find them in your store . Let me know if you have tried any of the other flavors and how you liked them ✨.

    1. Oh that’s a good idea too ! coconut pairs so well with it. When I was in Mexico last I would go and grab the fresh green coconut from the vendors . I loved drinking the water and snacking on coconut.
