sephora lipstories 5-0 grind lipstick review

I always bring this up, but when Fenty discontinued the Mattemoiselle line , it really hurt . My two favorite shades One of the Boyz and Ya dig  are no longer available, and while I may have found a dupe for the Lilac One of the Boyz , it’s been harder to find one for Ya Dig. Well until now ! 
I saw this lipstick shade on Reddit’s Swatch it for me sub . I was like wow that’s super close to Ya Dig. Very purple toned periwinkle blue . So I looked it up on Sephora and was happy to see it was on sale. 
And it’s good that I ordered when I did , as it sold out super fast . Along with some of Sephora’s other Lip Stories shades . There was a very nice metal grey/silver shade too , but it was sold out when I ordered . 

It’s a matte shade , but looks like it has some sort of sparkle . 

My swatch came out a bit shiny , so it might be a more moisturizing than the OG Fenty Ya Dig . But it has some nice coverage . Which is great as some blue shades can be patchy .

Here it is without flash ! It’s a really nice periwinkle blue . It’s pretty good coverage on the lips and bullet was angled enough to wear I could pretty good application. 

I do think it has an almost creamy like feel even though it’s a matte lipstick , but it makes really comfortable to wear . I wore it two days in a row , and had good luck wearing it when eating and drinking . I did have to reapply but not often . Also I didn’t detect a scent at all , so also a plus if you don’t like fragrance in your lipsticks .

I was so happy with this lipstick ! I’m a huge fan of periwinkle shades and this color is so pigmented ! I’m a little sad that my Lunar Tides Purple Iris faded so fast ( like a full week ) so I had to redye with a mix of Punky purple , blue , Lunar Tides Smokey Navy , and Lime Crime Pony all mixed in conditioner. I’m hoping it fades to a more pastel shade . So until then here’s my bright purple hair . 

Well if you see this color at your local Sephora I totally recommend grabbing it as it’s a very nice unusual shade of blue and it’s really good quality for a blue lipstick . I still want to try a few blue shades from Nyx’s smooth whip line , but they sadly don’t sell them at Target or Amazon . So I’ll have to check Ulta for the full color range .
