nyx matte finish setting spray review

Hey everyone ! I’m slowly going through my drafts and after using this for almost a month and half, it’s finally time. 

I added this to one of my online carts as I wanted to see if there was a drugstore equivalent to the Urban Decay Setting Spray. And while I still have quite a bit of my All Night setting spray , I still wanted to try another one to see how it compares. One of my favorite brands lately has been Nyx as I like quite a bit of their primers, glitter glue, eyeliners , lipsticks and glosses ect.  And I’ve used this particular setting spray with a variety of eyeshadows , blushes (powder and cream), and foundations. And it’s pretty good . I do think the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray does make my eyeshadows last a little bit longer and also kind of makes my skin a bit more softer .  I also feel like this product has a bit more alcohol content in it. Like it probably helps to keep things dry and matte but it can be a bit too drying on skin in the winter . And that’s where I think the Urban Decay one in my opinion works a little better. But maybe this one would be better in the summer , when I’m more oily.

Here I used Beauty Blender Bounce foundation along with the Beauty Blender concealer. Also Juvia’s Place shadows were used .

Here’s with the Prada foundation.

I could’ve swore I had one more picture with the beauty Blender skin tint or the Maybelline skin tint , so I’m guessing those were the days I just got ready and left the house 😅. Sorry no pictures of those days. But it does work with those foundations too! 

Overall it’s nice inexpensive alternative to the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray , but it does seem to have a bit more alcohol and it doesn’t last as long. But it’s not bad and if you need a pretty reliable setting spray this is a pretty good product. It seems to work with all the foundations in my collection and does help with keeping eyeshadow fresh.
