Hey everyone! I actually keep spacing and forgot to write a review for this new primer that I was trying out. I’ve used this quite a bit and most of my recent pictures have been using this primer as my base. If you would like to check out those , I for sure used it in the Juvia’s Place Culture 2 and thesugarpill black capsule reviews. Also I’ve used this quite a bit when i’m just going out and running errands , or visiting friends. So what makes this primer special? It’s meant to be mattifying , pore reducing and has some fruit and vegatable extracts. Artichoke , watermelon, and apple to name a few. It’s also supposed to make skin softer with repeated use. I did notice a bit of the skin softening aspect, but if you put too much product this stuff does kind of pill on the skin. So a few drops is enough for your whole face. As for wear, I tried all my different foundations with this product, and I really didn’t see a difference between them. Like it seems to be pretty good with a variety of foundations, skin tints , my powders, I’ve used highlighter over it , powder and cream blushes.
And for this picture , I used Revlon Colorstay concealer, and Beauty Blender Bounce foundation, as well as Revlon blotting setting powder . My makeup stayed in place pretty well , and really I was even able to take some pics when I was redying my hair . Those I’ll share later for when I review the dye , but I was still impressed.
I did have some dry spots from acne and those weren’t covered the best , but the rest of my face looks pretty smooth. I do think I like the Nyx Marshmellow primer a little more though, as I think it makes my face just a bit softer , but this one reduces the appearance of pores more. And Looking online their about the same price. So after I finish this I may go back and buy another marshmellow primer. But I do like that I don’t have to use too much and it works with all the foundations and powders.
Overall this is pretty good primer , it keeps makeup in place , reduces the appearance of pores, and while it does kind of soften skin , I think the Marshmallow primer does a better job. But this one does better with pores, although using too much can make it pill on your skin. Also I’m still sad that E.L.F didn’t bring back the watermelon Jelly Pop primer. That was my other go to primer . Well let me know what you think.

I’ve heard of watermelon and apple extracts in beauty products, but I think this is the first I’ve seen that has artichoke. I’ll have to do some research on what it’s responsible for doing. Very interesting. Also, I haven’t used the Nyx primer in a while but now that you’ve mentioned it, I’d like to try it out again. I did enjoy it. Haha.

This is .gov website about the benefits of artichoke extract for skin care . I read somewhere else that it’s also good for minimizing pores as well . I had no idea either .
