l’oreal infallible skin ink 2-1 foundation concealer review in neutral

Hey everyone ! I’m still playing catch up with all my reviews , but I think I’m getting back in the groove now . This was kind of an interesting product as it’s concealer/foundation hybrid . And while the packaging looked nice as soon as I swatched I was a little put off . 
While the color is lighter , I could still see using it as a concealer , the problem being the awful smell . It’s bad , like really bad . Very chemical-like old paint that went bad smell . What is this even about ? I wasn’t sure if I had gotten an expired product that went rancid or if this was normal . 

After swatching , I decided to go online and try to find other reviews , a few really liked how this concealer /hybrid gave a matte finish . But deep digging on reddit and Influenster, I was able to find a few indiviuals who also claimed that this was one of the worst smelling products ever . And while some did say it sort of dissapated after drying . I tried on my face and was really not happy .
Also this stuff stayed on my arm for two days . I tried using coconut oil , makeup remover and even soap and it was still faintly there . It’s literally like paint more than makeup . Of course that could be a selling point , but for me I wasn’t impressed . As the formula seems to dry down really fast . When I used it on my face , which I wasn’t really comfortable putting this nasty stuff on ; I had to work quickly to blend it in . Also it dried down so quick that I really could only use it as a concealer and not really a full foundation . So I had to break out one of my skin tints to actually fully cover my face .

It looks better in the pics and honestly my Beauty Blender skin tint is the main star and covering most of my face .

I wasn’t impressed . Between the horrible smell and the overly drying formula , I think this one was a fail. It’s also pretty pricey for a drugstore brand in my opinion . Like I get it a things are going up in price , but there are way better drugstore products that are a bit cheaper . Or even better mid range products . Overall I would not reccomend this 2 in 1 concealer , it reeks and it’s just overly drying . Let me know if you have tried anything else in the Infallible skin line ? Have a nice week !
