j basket matcha boba kit review

Hi everyone ! I have more tea reviews ! This time it’s J-Basket . This was the brand I inititally didn’t really like as sometimes the boba would disintergrate . Also the first time I tried it the matcha flavor was but bitter and not as smooth as J-way or other matcha drinks that I’ve tried before . I do think they must have worked on the flavor as this one tastes better than the first box I tried.

So as with many of the kits , There’s a 3 pack of the boba , tea powder and straws . And I feel like the pouches are a little bigger than J-Way . I do still prefer J-Way’s boba though .

This time when I made it I used a 3 oz cup of water to mix with the tea then added milk after it cooled , with the ice , boba . It seems to work better than jist using all water or no water and just milk and the tea packet.

As for the taste , this matcha is a bit more earthy but not as bitter as it used to be . But still not quite as smooth and fresh tasting as the J-Way or Jade Leaf matcha . The boba thankfully didn’t fall apart like a previous trial of this brand . So I do think they may have changed the reciepe . The boba is chewy and slightly sweet . Overall it’s not a bad packet but I do think the J-Way matcha has better boba pearls and matcha taste . I’ll have to find the J-way one again to review for you all , but trust me it’s the better of the two .
Also after writing this all , I finally got to try Happy Lemon . In case you haven’t heard Happy Lemon did a collab with Genshin Impact , and made some special boba tea drinks inspired by Klee and Jean . So I basically had to find a Happy Lemon shop , and my guy bought me a bundle , so I had the Tea smoothie and Genshin Merch !
