Well since I reviewed the j way instant boba taro milk tea, I thought it would be a good idea to try the classic milk tea flavor as well . Sadly they were out of the matcha ( it’s really good but I forgot to take pics and write a review, and now my store hasn’t restocked ). Also if you want to read about a more unconventional boba tea with popping boba and in a pouch check out the boba vida thai coconut popping pearls. Those are also sadly not at my store anymore 😭.
As with all J-Way boba kit’s this one comes with three tea packets , three boba pearl pouches and paper straws . I make mine by heating a cup of 2oz of water , mixing in the tea packet , heating the pearls in the microwave, and using oat milk for my milk base . It’s really good this way .

And I found this cute little demon cow squish too ! It’s getting closer to Halloween so I thought this would be cute on my purse . Plus I like the grey/black and purple color scheme . Plus it’s not often you find a demon cow ? Or is it a vampire cow? Not really sure but demonic cow just seems hilarious !

Now back to the tea , it’s more a bitter black tea flavor and not quite as sweet as I was expecting . It’s definitely sweet but the sweetness seems to come from the brown sugar boba than the tea powder itself . I’m also someone who drinks southern style sweet tea , so my sugar levels are usually sweeter than most when it comes to iced tea . But it’s still really good , and the creaminess from the oat milk really balances out the bitterness . It’s almost like an iced coffee . At first taste of the powder tea mixed in the water , it reminded me a bit of the Lipton instant tea , but a bit more bitter with subtle sweetness . It definitely tastes better with the boba and oat milk added .
Overall I would recommend this kit , even though I prefer the taste of the Taro better , this one is still really good and doesn’t have like a weird aftertaste like some instant teas can have . I’ve tried the J-Basket instant boba kits as well and while both the taro and classic tea are good in those , the matcha had a bad aftertaste and the boba for those kits seemed to dissolve a bit . The J-way ones seem to be way better than those ( I probably should retry a few of the J-Basket to review properly).
Let me know what you think of these instant boba and if you have any recommendations for other brands in the comments . Have a great week !

Demonic cow is so cute, I’ve never tried boba teas, the little balls intimidate me 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Some of the pearls can be pretty good , and some can be more squishy or chewy . If you wanted to try it would say go to a boba tea house and just pick your favorite flavor of tea . Some have fruit teas and or more traditional tea flavors like matcha , taro , or classic black . I think my first Boba ever mango , but the second was an avocado flavor ( it was really smooth ) .
