Just a quick review , I’ve been trying to use multiple products in some of my reviews just so I can get a feel for them. I bought some E.L.F brushes along with my setting spray from yesterday’s review. I’ve kind of used this brush sort of off and on. I do have multiple brushes and sometimes it’s nice to have extra’s to blend out shadows. Especially when I’m using multiple colors , shimmers ect. I grabbed this one as the brush bristles are a bit shorter than some of my other brushes . I thought it might be great for applying shadows to the V and crease.
It’s pretty simple , but the handle feels pretty sturdy and the bristles are very soft yet has a nice stiffness to it.

I felt that it applied my darker mattes really well. I did have to go back and use a fluffy brush to blend out some of the color though. I do think you could blend with this but it’s probably best to have multiple brushes as this doesn’t feel like the best one and done brush. Unless you are mainly applying neutrals. I did later use the same brush to apply a darker shimmery blue to the matte blue , and it didn’t have too much issue picking up the shimmery particles.
My blue eye look from the Olori 2 palette review. The E.L.F brush was used for the darker parts of my V and crease .
A little blurry but I used the brush here for the darker smokey areas .
So far I like it , and I can rotate it in with my other eye brushes as well. I do think it’s not the best one and done , but I have some other brushes that I like a bit better for those types of looks . This is still a nice makeup tool , especially for $2 , you can toss it in your makeup bag , and go, and it’s just nice to have extra eye brushes. Let me know what you think and if you have tried any other E.L.F brushes .
*Update!
I have been using this brush a bit more , and I’ve come to the conclusion that this brush is a bit scratchy . I was using it to blend out a look the other day and I noticed the bristles are way stiffer than my other brushes and while this can be alright with picking up powders, pigments or shimmers , it’s a bit rough for blending out looks and using it at an angle . I checked my other brushes to see if I had any other ones with this problem , and it’s definitely the E.L.F bristles . So keep that in mind when shopping for a new eyeshadow brush . I’m more of a fan of the softer fluffier brushes vs the stiffer kind of scratchy kind like this one .

I have all their eye brushes and for the price they’re pretty good. Not the best brushes but not bad either.

Yeah it’s definitely not a bad brush , but I do like some of my wet n wild brushes a bit more . I still have my Pac-man wet n wild brush and it’s one of the softest in my collection.

I’ve never Wet N Wild brushes but will definitely check them out. I feel like Wet N Wild is such an impressive and affordable brand too.

Plus they’re always releasing new collections and brush styles . I don’t have them all as they sell out pretty quickly.

haha I feel like I’m terrible with tutorials as it often just feels like I’m just throwing colors on my eyes , but sometimes I get lucky. My best advice is to keep trying , using different brushes for blending , have a good primer ready , and have fun playing with colors . What type of eyeshadows do you use or prefer?
