maui moisture hair care: nourish & moisture +coconut milk conditioner review

*The products in this post were sent out to me for free from Influenster and Maui Moisture Hair care in exchange for my honest review .

IMG_6854And now for my second part of my Maui Moisture hair care review ! Today I’ll be talking about the conditioner.

These products are silicone free and sulfate free as well . So I thought this might work out for my bleached and dyed hair . Along with the rest of the Maui Moisture hair products I tried in this set , the scent is amazing . Very tropical , coconut, and a hint of sugar , and possibly guava . I think the best thing about these products is how good they smell. Not too strong but very nice if you’re a fan of fruity , tropical scents .

IMG_6859And while I really liked the smell , I wanted to like how well this performed for my hair . It’s just not quite as conditioning as I had hoped . And with how kind of dry the shampoo left my hair , I really was hoping this would mitigate that issue . And while it’s not terrible , it’s just not the conditioner I wanted. The best way to use it I found was to condition first , let that set in your hair for a bit longer , shampoo , and then condition again . I also had better results using just the conditioner by itself or paired with my Garnier coconut and aloe shampoo . Of course that kind of defeats using the Maui Moisture shampoo . I just wasn’t a fan of the shampoo .
Also on another experiment , I found this conditioner makes a great way to dilute some of my hair dye for more pastel colors or to just tone my hair . It smells really good and adding my bubblegum scented Punky’s was kind of nice , like a coconut/bubblegum combo , and my hair was decently moisturized, but that could be due the nature of veggie dyes . Most are basically conditioner with colors .
So over all , this wasn’t my favorite conditioner , but it was nice to dilute my hair colors , and while it’s bit pricey to use it just for that purpose (you can use Vo5 conditioners which also smell good and are a bit cheaper ). I probably would still pass on this as there are way better moisturizing conditioners on the market . Let me know if you have tried any other Maui Moisture products, maybe I tried the wrong type . Have a great week !
